The Lord continues to call us to make changes in our lives. We thought moving to Tampa and beginning a brand new ministry was all He was going to call us to do. Not so fast. During our last visit to Georgia for the VenezuelaNow Grand Fiesta the Lord very clearly told us we were to begin homeschooling Zoe and Elijah. There were a couple of reasons for this: 1) We could ensure the kids were getting a good Christian education, and 2) It would allow us a lot of flexibility. Because we are transitioning into being missionaries we knew a lot of our time would be spent traveling from church to church and home group to home group sharing God’s vision for Tampa and seeking financial support. We would not be able to do this as a family if the children were in a traditional school. Homeschooling allows us to teach them wherever we are and to use wherever we are to teach the children something. We have now been homeschooling Zoe and Elijah for about a month and it has truly been a blessing. They are enjoying it and Lim and I are loving being able to spend more time with them. We, of course, ask for your prayers as we add homeschooling to our new family adventure.
